The North Atlantic Forum biennial conference provides the main networking event and focal point of communication for the NAF network. The conference has been hosted in various North Atlantic regions and is usually held early to mid Fall, in partnership with related partners and regional networks. The event features a combination of presentations on new and on-going research as well as regional development practices and is filled with discussion by academics, practitioners and policy makers. In addition, the conference program, developed by a local planning committee includes a number of community tours. These tours provide an opportunity to explore how communities and regions advance solutions to address local issues.
The 2019 North Atlantic Forum is a partnership event between NAF and the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation, hosted by Memorial University. The conference will highlight rural and coastal community sustainability issues and solutions under research and implementation within the the North Atlantic region.
